About me

Hello!
I'm Pipi, an illustrator and writer based in the UK, and a BA Illustration graduate from Falmouth University. My work is rooted in storytelling and is often shaped by nature, memories and a love for adventures big and small.
I can quite often be found in the forest somewhere, a sketchbook tucked under one arm and my pockets full of acorns, pinecones and other woodland "treasures" I probably don't need any more of, but always pick up anyway. 🌾

Inspirations
A lot of my inspiration comes from a childhood spent exploring my grandparents' farm, where I used to write and illustrate short stories to read aloud to anyone who might listen, build little boats to race down the river, and make houses in the hollows of trees for the snails and birds.
I think these early adventures have stuck with me, and always seem to find their way into everything I make.
I have also always been drawn to folklore and children's literature, particularly the tales of Beatrix Potter and Jill Barklem's Brambly Hedge. I just love all the tiny details, and the way they somehow feel so familiar and nostalgic. 🍂

My Work
Whether I'm working on a picture book, a poster, or a standalone illustration, I love being able to create something that feels sincere and familiar, even if it's something completely new.
My work has been exhibited at New Designers London and The Poly Gallery in Falmouth, and I have created illustrations for clients including Card Factory, Piece Up and the Folk on the Green music festival.
Thank you so much for stopping by! 🌱
